In today’s technology-driven world, introducing coding and robotics at the primary school level helps young learners build essential skills for the future. This extra course provides a fun and interactive way for students to explore the basics of programming and robotics through hands-on activities and creative problem-solving. Children learn how to think logically, work as a team, and bring their ideas to life using simple coding languages and robot kits. By starting early, students gain confidence and curiosity in technology, setting a strong foundation for future learning and innovation.

Grade 6DEV – Learning to Code with Microsoft MicroBit
Our Grade R–3 learners are learning Computer Skills—how to use a desktop computer effectively—along with Application Skills. These skills encourage a better understanding of how a computer works and its various uses. In addition, they are being introduced to Coding Skills, including pattern recognition, identifying bugs, debugging, and much more.
Our Grade 4–7 learners are primarily exposed to Coding & Robotics. They progress from using coding blocks to creating their own scenes and displays. They also continue developing their Application Skills and learning how to use a computer to its full potential.
We also have a fleet of Chromebooks that are used within the classroom to support and enhance digital learning.
STEM Club
STEM—short for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—is an exciting and dynamic field that encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and innovation. As an extramural activity, STEM offers students hands-on opportunities to explore how things work, build creative solutions, and apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. Whether it’s coding a robot, designing a bridge, conducting experiments, or solving puzzles, STEM nurtures critical thinking and teamwork. It’s perfect for learners who enjoy asking questions, experimenting, and imagining new possibilities for the future.
Grade 3-4:
We launched our Junior STEM Club with a burst of excitement as balloon hovercrafts zipped across the science room, leaving everyone breathless with curiosity and wonder! Our Grade 3 and 4 learners eagerly explored the concept of air pressure, discovering how air escaping through a small opening creates a cushion that reduces friction, allowing their hovercrafts to glide smoothly over surfaces.
From the thrill of balloon hovercrafts to the explosive fun of bicarb bombs, our young scientists enthusiastically engaged in hands-on experiments that brought Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to life.
It has been an action-packed term filled with discovery and experimentation. We can’t wait to see what exciting projects and challenges Term 3 will bring!

Grade 5-7:
STEM Club Takes Off! 🚀✈️
Our Grade 5–7 STEM Club is soaring to new heights! This amazing group of young innovators dove right into exciting monthly challenges that tested their creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking. They’ve been buzzing with energy like busy bees on a mission!
One of the highlights so far was them designing and building their very own rubber-powered paper planes. After weeks of tinkering, testing, and perfecting their designs, these future engineers were able to see their hard work take flight—literally!
We’re so proud of their enthusiasm and can’t wait to see what incredible projects they’ll tackle next.
